Funny and fun-loving, Rhonda is a raconteur. She is a member of the Tennessee Storytellers Association and the Harpeth Valley Storytellers, Franklin, Tennessee. Rhonda is a Louisiana native and delights in telling original stories, contemporary anecdotes and Cajun folk tales
One of Rhonda's highest honors was an invitation to share her stories onstage at the memorial tribute for the late British actor Stuart Golland. The tribute entitled "The Lad from Sheffield" and was held in the Theatre Royal in York, England. Rhonda has also been the guest speaker for both faculty and student at Leeds Metropolitan University. Her presentation to college students is entitled Voyage to Discovery.
Rhonda appreciates the ways that humor transforms our lives. When given the assignment to compose a travel article for a course in writing for magazines, she turned the tragedy of her mother's death into the hilarious story Taking Mama Home. A sought after writer for trade journals, Rhonda's story A. J.'s Ballgame is published in Contrails, the ezine for Aviation Week and Space Technology. She is the former behavioral columnist for Today's Playground and for a Nashville bride magazine. She has had two feature articles published in Paradigm magazine.
An independent business owner and psychotherapist, Rhonda is a former nominee for "Business Woman of the Year" by the National Association of Women Business Owners. She is an integral force in health care education and is a winner of the coveted EdLine aware, given by the Tennessee Chapter of the American Society of Health Care Educators and Trainers.
A graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA, and the University of Tennessee, Rhonda holds advanced degrees in administration of mental health programs and in behavioral sciences. She is a clinical hypnotherapist, certified by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
