Directions
I am now located at Convent Place, which is at 2021 21st Ave. South. It is the red brick building set far back from the road between Bernard and Portland Avenues.
When you arrive at the building it will say St. Bernard's Academy above the front door. There is a marker that says 2021 21st Avenue in front of the door.
Below are directions and landmarks. I’ve also listed a "back way" that avoids much of the traffic on 21st. Ave., and there are instructions on parking.
Direct Route from I-440
From I-440 at 21st Ave. / Hillsboro Rd. Exit
Take the 21st. Ave. Exit
Go .7 miles.
You are very near my office when you pass Friedman’s Army Surplus.
Pass Bernard Ave. and make an immediate left into the long driveway that leads to the building.
Back Way from I-440 to avoid traffic:
From I-440 at 21st Ave. / Hillsboro Rd. Exit
Take the 21st. Ave. Exit
Go to signal light at Blair Blvd. Harris Teeter will be on your left.
Turn left onto Blair Blvd. Go to the first stop sign. This is 24th Ave. Turn right. Go to Bernard Ave. Turn right. Convent Place is on the left, and there is an entrance into the parking lot.
From Vanderbilt: Direct Route:
Take 21st Ave. S. There is a large apartment complex located on the corner of 21st. Ave S. and Portland. The driveway to Convent Place is located on the right past the apartments that face 21st. Ave. (I thought there was an arch marking the driveway, but that is NOT correct.)
Back Way to Avoid Traffic:
From 21st. Ave. turn right onto Blakemore. Turn left onto 24th Ave. S. at the signal light at the Fannie Mae Dees Dragon Park. When you see St. Bernard’s school, turn left onto Bernard Ave. Your will see the entryway into Convent Place past the school. Turn left into the parking area.
Parking
There is visitor parking to the left of the front door.
There is parking in the lower lot.
Handicapped parking is to the right of the front door.
Finding my office
Once you have parked. Enter through the doorway on the far right. This is a modern metal and glass door and has a ramp. It is located next to the handicapped parking. This will put you in front of the elevator.
Take the elevator to the 4th floor. When you step off, turn to the right. Go through the doorway and dog-leg to the left and then right. You will be in a hallway. My office is No. 32. There is a waiting area directly across. Please wait there and I will come for you.
