WHO IS RHONDA BORMAN? A brief profile: Rhonda is an independent business owner, psychotherapist, author and a former nominee for "Business Woman of the Year" by the National Association of Women Business Owners. Along the way to sole proprietorship, she worked in both the public and private sectors. She is an integral force in health care education and is a winner of the coveted EdLine award, given by the Tennessee Chapter of the American Society of Health Care Educators and Trainers. Rhonda understands employee productivity from the inside out. She enjoys presenting this new way of corporate thinking in programs such as "Crazy for You: Simple Solutions for Managing Employee Productivity" and "Are You in Hot Water With Customer Service?" Rhonda loves to deliver customized keynote addresses, and she is often called upon to invigorate an organization with her "Three H’s: Humor, Honesty and Humility." Funny and fun-loving, Rhonda is a raconteur. She is a member of the Tennessee Storytellers Association and is the resident storyteller for the Nashville Psychotherapy Association, on whose Board of Directors she serves. She is a Louisiana native, and delights in including Cajun humor. Recently invited to the stage of the Theatre Royal in York, England, Rhonda participated in "The Lad from Sheffield," the tribute to actor Stuart Golland. While in England, she was asked to present to both faculty and students at Leeds Metropolitan University. Rhonda also appreciates ways that humor transforms our lives. When given the assignment to compose a travel article for a magazine writing course, she turned the tragedy of her mother’s death into the hilarious story Taking Mama Home. On a more serious note, Rhonda is an occasional contributor to various publications, including "Paradigm" magazine. A graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA, and the University of Tennessee, Rhonda holds advanced degrees in administration of mental health programs and in behavioral science. |
